Scenes from Watson's Bay, Sydney

Updated: Feb 7

Watson's Bay is a short ferry ride (about 20 minutes) from Circular Quay and if you are thinking about a day or even a half day trip, it is a fun way to spend your time. This is a place to come to wind down, relax and take it all in whether you are visiting alone or with family or friends. The calm and protected beach is perfect for adults or kids to explore, swim, kayak, go snorkeling, stand up paddling or sit and enjoy the scenery (including the City of Sydney skyline in the background).

Be sure and enjoy some fresh seafood while you're there. Watson's Bay is the oldest fishing village in Australia and offers delicious seafood in several waterfront restaurants.

Play or rest in the park then head up the hill and across the street for walking trails to see panoramic cliff side ocean views.

The walking trails run along both sides of these cliffs and most are an easy walk. Both paths are about one hour round trip. Don't forget your camera!
