The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney
If you want to take time to smell the flowers, this is the place. Get away from the city in the middle of the city - this is a welcome retreat to rest and relax. Enjoy walking down paths to view the variety of gardens or find a shady spot to picnic or just sit and re charge.
There are also several restaurants and cafes as well as the Garden Shop for gifts and Visitors Centre where you can meet for walks and tours if you would like a more detailed visit.
Keep a look out for reptiles, ducks, birds and other creatures throughout the gardens.
The Choo Choo Express runs about every thirty minutes for a tour around the gardens if you prefer to ride.
If you plan to visit, be sure and check out the calendar of events. You could catch the Koalas Sculpture Trail, Feeding Time at Plants That Bite, Garden Nite Life for Families and so much more. https://www.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au.
The Botanic Gardens grounds extend to the Sydney Opera House where you can see the Opera House close up and take in the panoramic Harbor view.
